Hi,
In the process of house renovation, bedroom has timber frame bay window with plug socket in but no insulation in cavity. Naturally I want to insulate this during the refurb. My plan was to put kingspan/ celotex between timbers, then tape joints then visqueen over before 12.5mm boarding ready for skim. However I want to keep the socket that is on the wall. In terms of reinstating this after insulating, how to I get around the insulation/ get adequate depth for even a 25mm back box? Can I cut into the kingspan for box/ cables or should I batten out the PB to give space with a void between PB and kingspan or double up on plaster board?
Cheers,
Dan
