so this must be a common problem for anyone with a powerful electric shower , so how can you improve the flow? Is it worth putting flow regulators set at say 6 litre per min on the kitchen sink , basin taps , wc cistern to improve the flow? or anything else..?

POOR FLOW MIRA SPORT MAX WHEN DISHWASHER/ TAPS ON

can anyone help? I have mira sport max 10.8kw on mains , good flow rate of 11 litres per min , shower works fine until i use washing machine, downstairs taps etc.. , then flow goes to a trickle should this really happen? Is this what you have to put up with , and only use the shower when the dishwas...

yes bobplum thats what i mean inside wall of an outside wall ! ie a cavitiy wall, so freezing issues wont apply just corrosion issues. So should i use plaster , grout, chromed copper or encase in plastic overflow pipe when i put pipe in chased channels before i tile over them? :?

Sorry guys my fault i will clarify , its for a bathroom cavity wall NOT outside property but on the inside of an exterior wall so should i need to insulate or just cover with plaster or tile grout, will this corrode the pipes?

PIPES for wall hung basin exterior wall?

Going to hang a wall hung basin, on exterior wall . Was going to sink pipe in cement then realised big no no! Im going to use 15mm copper pipe and realise need to be insulated and possibly accessible am i right in thinking this (ie regs etc..). , or does it mean just shouldnt bury any joints , just ...

thks for that roseberry, food for thought . Problem with this drain valve is that its about a foot away from the rad valves i wonder whether to leave it alone and fit one of those valve/drainvalve all in one jobbies?

replace blocked/corrode radiator drain valve QUICK WAY!

Hi recently tried to drain all radiators, but 1 of the drain valves needs replacing as it is corrode, blocked and in an akward position, i did not have a spare valve at the time, its downstairs on a loop, is there a quick and easy way to replace it without draining the whole system again!

slight snag! After turned heat off then back on couple of the rads cooler , some have trv , some dont should i balance them properly using thermometer on flow/return etc..? Also 1 rad (old style) crackling when heating turned on , is it air getting in thru valves or limescale build up?

you were right bobplum i balanced rads downstairs 1st , and turned all off upstairs then when piping hot, balanced the ones upstairs, thks alot. Next job is to replace feed and expansion tank , lots of sludge etc in old one got myself some sludge remover and fernox mb-1 as water coming out of rads w...
