The number of spurs must NOT exceed the number of sockets on the ring. Max one spur from a socket (unless using FCU).

You should get an electrician b4 you do anything yourself and ask him if he doesn't mind you doing any 1st fix work. An electrician is responsible for the whole rewire and has to sign certification stating that. He will not be too keen to finish a job he has had no control over.

Might be wrong but it seems like you are trying to replace one way switches with two-way. If this is the case then (for one-way lighting) ignore the L2 connection.

If the light fitting has any exposed metal parts then it needs earthing. You probably should have your wiring inspected by an electrician if there's no earthing.
