You can vent the pipe out through the wall then bend it back so it vents down the wall. You should contact your local building control officer and ask if thats a viable option. As far as connecting into existing waste pipes -you shouldnt do it because if the unvented cylinder starts discharging wate...

I agree with rosebery, if you are not a competent plumber then you should leave it to a pro. If you make a mistake and you're not sure what you've done then you'll be needing a plumber anyway. By the time you've had the plumber out half a dozen times you'll be wishing you had employed him/her in the...

Its also worth adding that when you are doing your pressure test at the washing machine tap get someone to flush your toilet at the same time so you can get a true reading when the system is being used ie theres water being drawn off somewhere ie the toilet.

3 bar would be fine for an unvented system. You can't go far wrong with a megaflo. When purchasing the cylinder don't be duped into buying a bigger one than you need. I am presuming that in your flat you only have one bathroom and possibly an ensuite? If you are only intending to have two showers or...

The main advantage of a dual flush is enviromental awareness. If you use the half flush button then you are wasting less water which is a good thing. As far as replacements in the future for certain models is concerned then perhaps its a question you could put to the manufacturers of the system you ...

Do have good water pressure to your flat? If you don't then unvented could be a costly purchase and may not give you the performance you are hoping for.

Have you got all the rads filled with water? If so try closing all of the rad valves bar one on the rad you are going to drain from, stick a hose on a downstairs drain cock open it up and see what happens. The central heating should pump round the circuit and out of the hose , this should clear any ...

Might be worth bearing in mind that you shouldn't use boss white on a cold feed. You should use boss green if its on a cold feed.

Hi Sazza78 , Is the new wc going to be positioned in the same place as the old one or is it being repositioned somewhere else? If its going in the same place then there shouldn't be any problems. The plumber should be able to connect the waste pipe onto the existing soil pipe and the cold feed to th...
