Thanks....
I had to dig about and 'phone a few suppliers, I finally found one in Hampshire and the pan arrived yesterday. I'll post a link to his site once I find it again!!!!
There was a huge difference in prices being quoted though, so it pays to dig a little deeper.

Hi, Well the pan has no identification marks whatsoever and the cistern has 'caradon' writen on the inside of the lid. Not helpful at all, I have taken a few pics and sent them to a company that specialises in discontinued stock and await their reply. There's nothing particularly distinctive about i...

For the bath itself you'd need to check on the materials used and how thick/thin they are.....
Also the ceramic may be a little thin and chip easily and I've had a wc pan from a certain B~~~store that had a nicely hidden hole in the moulding where water was able to pour out. Not nice.

Sourcing replacement wc.

I need to replace a broken wc, same old story, someone dropped the aftershave down the dunny and broke it. Does anyone know how I can source a matched replacement? It's an old problem but surely there are specilist suppliers out there who cater for these things. Help and suggestions appreciated. TH

I had one like that from Bathstore. I had to lift the whole thing ... pan and cistern together connected to a flexi cold supply and ease it on to the waste. Not easy at all!
Thanks Bathstore!

Do you mean the hot cylinder thermostat? Anyway,, whatever happens you have to run the boiler to allow the transfer of heat through the primary system to warm the domestic hot water. You should be looking at about 40 minutes, obviously depending on the size of the tank and the temperature of the wat...

I'd 'rough fit the wc pan, get a good idea of it's final position, then you will know where to fix a noggin across the joists to give a really good fix for the pan. Fit the ply, fit the tiles and fix the pan on top of the whole thing, it looks so much neater. Not exactly sure what the second part of...

Bobplum,
That sounds like a good idea and saves all that messing about. I guess a boss would fit just as well to a 4" pan connector as it would to a 4" soil pipe.
Nice one!

Karen, Yes, you can....... here's the 'but'. You will have to remove the w/c and fit a new pan connector with a 'boss' of the appropriate size on it. This is a modified pan connector with a small connector on top of the bend that allows this type of connection. mcalpineplumbing.productlist.asp Have ...

I've fitted new wc pans from Bathstore and they have two holes at the back of the pan. Their fixing method is achieved by pluging these holes with an expanding nylon plug that secures the seat.
Might be worth a try!
