I've been told that the old-fashioned fuse boxes are now illegal, and should have been replaced with the 'trip-switch' unit.

Hammerite on brickwork

I want to paint a couple of rows of bricks at the base of the outside walls of my house. Several people have suggested I use Hammerite, but the tin states that it is for metal only. Would I be OK using it on brickwork, or is there a better alternative.
