Hi

Do you mean Gully (open top) or manhole (sealed top) that you rodded ?

If you mean gully then do you have a waste pipe coming in over the top

HI Lisa

£ 470 is a fair quote for 2 men 2 days, a good slab layer would easy lay over 80 slabs a day you have 65 to lay but the contractor has to lift and clean them prior to relaying and cart in sand.

Hi Just completed an extension using windposts which were 90mmx90mm box section posts, because you only 50mm cavity you would be better off oncorporating in the inner skin. The windposts are fixed to the foundations to give the bearing wall more support not the lintel. You also need design and calcs...

Hi

lift the tarmac should be around 75mm in depth, do a few trial pits with a shovel to check the depth of the exiting hardcore if you have 150-200mm that will suffice.

top the stone up, wack it leaving about 30mm for shingle.

Hi

Install a 225x75mm spliter/binder under the existing joist's half way along in the opposite direction.Knock out and sit on inside skin 100mm bearing.Rap the ends with dpm and allow a void under the new joist.
