Removal of stud wall

Hi I am about to remove a 'stud' wall which divides the 3/4 bedrooms on the 1st floor of a victorian house. A number of builders have confirmed it is not loadbearing but one suggested it might be worth adding some additional support to ensure there is no chance of any roof sag. I would be grateful f...

[quote="htg engineer"]Both Worcester and Vaillant are good boilers, so you can't go wrong. The warranty is important to most people, gives peace of mind. If that's important to you then the Worcester is probably the best for you. As long as the installation is correct, the system is flushe...

The only real difference in construction I've been given is the heat exchanger is made of different material - with perhaps stainless steel being preferable over aluminuim/silicon even though there i...

pipes banging

Hi - problem is that when tap is turned off there is a loud banging / hammer noise from the pipework. Most noticable on pipe to bathroom sink which is upstairs. Problem can be avoided if tap is turned off very slowly. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.
