another alternative is to get yourself some HG Extra. puposely made for this problem.

it will still need a lot of polishing though!

dare i put a reply? hm here goes. we all started somewhere, and ultimately when fixing tiles you need to feel resistance as you place the tile on the surface. i wont go into whats best regarding adhesive on wall, adhesive on tile etc, but would only advise that any novice takes small steps, and does...

how about having a go at this yourself? us diyers all started somewhere. put masking tape at the edge of the tile, masking tape on the wall, leaving 5mm or so between the 2. get some good silicone and run a bead along the gap. wet your finger, smooth it out, then remove the tape about 10 minutes lat...

i agree, i had a similar thing when doing my kitchen floor. i ended up doing a seperate skim on the floor where the mosaics were going, then fixing the tiles next day. looks great even if it did take a little longer

if reskimming isn't really an option, consider using something like the new kerdi board by Schluter. the thinnest they do is 5mm, but it is ideal for getting a flat and even finish without the mess of replastering

sealing and tile protection systems are rarely needed for glass tiles. the main problem most have when fixing and grouting glass, is that they treat them the same as ordinary tiles. jsut be aware that the highly polished surface is soft and also more likely to scratch. ideal adhesives and grouts are...

much better to pop the other tiles off and do a perfect job, you'll appreciate it in the end when you realise edges, meetings against skirts and architraves etc all look as they should do.

hi new to this site, but not to tiles. i think you are lucky a crack hasn't appeard before now. i agree with the others and suggest a bead of silicone. there are flexible grouts you could use if you really want, but you may have to add additional flexible additive and there still wouldn't be a guara...
