There must be a live in and a live out, you should have 2 reds together on one side of the switch ( live in & live out) and the swich wire to the light in the other connection.

I have some shares & want to know what is the best way to sell them, all I've got is the shares certificate, I heard the cheapest way is to sell them on line.

The same happened to me, go up the loft & unclip the lighting cables, most sparkies will leave a bit of extra length of cable to pull down.

Its perfectly safe to use that switch, it is meant to go in the middle of two way lighting, eg. in the middle of a flight of stairs.

I didnt realise your welder was fed from a fused spur !!!

The garage should have its own CU, fed from the house via 32a mcb,(if ring circuit in garage, if radial 20a) then in garage 16a mcb type C for welder, 32a for ring ect...

Try a industrial rated mcb, I think they are type C, instead of domestic type B.

They can withstand higher serge currants.

Youve got 2 t&e's because it's proberly end of the circuit. i.e. mains in to the fitting & switch return.

You might have loose connection or broken wire somewhere, have you got a multimeter to test for voltage.

Try switching off at switch & switching on again, then go inside and leave it, if it doesnt go off youll have to alter the timer setting on the side of the pir, if it still doesnt turn off, buy a new one !!!
