Hi, It depends on type of stain that was originally used, and just power washing will probably not remove all the original stain. You need to soften up the original stain first with a propriety decking cleaner, Cuprinol, Ronseal etc, or a product called PrepDeck. Apply this to the stain, wait for ab...

I find that white spirits or paint strippers are not too plant & pet friendly, so find a product called PrepDeck. You can apply this to the paint, leave for approx 20 mins and then power wash off. Hope this helps.
