My guess is you're achieving the best you can from the tools you're using. With Jigsaws, even expensive ones, the blade tends to wander from the vertical - straight on top, wonky underneath. Replastering 1 meter up wall after Damp Course

I've removed render and skim coat aprox 1 meter up the wall where damp is coming through wall. External bridge of damp course removed, additional Damp Course injection done, inside re-rendered with sand and cement. What's left is the skim coat. My question is whether i must skim right up the wall or...

I just faced the same situation. I decided to do it myself as i'm familiar with the tools etc. The aim is to stop the damp. Do that and i think few buyers will worry. Besides, the cash can be used for other things that may appeal to the next buyer.
