please help

ive started a job and all i have to do is paint the ceilings and walls.its a new house 3years old and its all been painted b4 and dosnt really need doing they just want to freshen it up. problem is as soon as the paint is put on its drying out so fast and not spreading, wat can i do,i no this happen...

you say you use a sponge float,are they any good, i use the normal floet, do you sponge it over with a hand sponge or just the sponge float

rendering on old red bricks

hello
any one no wat i can do to stop render going of so quick put a scratch coat on these old red bricks they sucked all the water straight out i prepared the wall with loads of unibond but didnt really seem to help.dont want the same to happen on top coat.any ideas

does any one use sbr as a admixture does it help as a retarder aswell as a waterprofer.does it make a the mix nice to use like other admixtures,does anyone else use a admixture called optimix.wat other admixes do people use

3.6 opening

im going to take out a opening.the opening iis going to be about 3.6m wide.im not sure if the wall is carry just joists or its full load bearing wall.wat lintel would be best as 3.6m is quite a big opening,any ideas would help

rendering a big area

when rendering a big gable end for instance wats the best way to give your self time to float up and sponge over b4 the cement gos off and you get a horrible finish,i no you can wet the wall firs to give you more time but any other suggestions.
