Perhaps you can machine the swolen tongues a bit thinner using a router mounted to a table - I think this may loose the strength of the join however. My gut feeling is that its better to do that and also make sure you have a level floor and be forced to glue down the flooring. I don't think its thro...

Concrete small area over wood where wall was

We removed a stud wall and at the floor there the concrete does not go across where the wall was. There is a wooden piece and I'm after laminating over the lot eventually. I'm concerned with expansion if we do concrete over the wood. Perhaps levelling compound might be better. Thanks for thoughts.
