To register with elecsa they require that you must have a signed Health & Safety policy in place and a risk assessment procedure in place. Does this mean that any self employed sparky working for themselves employing no one else needs full written examples of both documents? If so could someone ...

oven fuse rating.

Weve recently bought a new oven rated at 2.5kw, i`ve worked out that it will draw about 11amps, the cable is already (from prvious cooker) installed to the cu and im just waiting for my part p mate to connect it fro me. Would a 16 amp fuse be ok for this? It is goin to be switched by and oven switch...

As the title says what would i be the best way to do it, i suppose the circuit breaker could be changed for an rcbo but what if this wasn`t possible on the current distribution board?

low voltage transformer

hi this might seem like a silly question but what does VA stand for on transformers? I`m guessing its the output rating, if so what would a 150va transformer discharge in the form of amps, watts?

Hi have you you been tested by elcsa yet? I will have to register with them sortly, I have recently completed a 5 day course for part p and would appreciate a bit of info on what the inspector expects.

If you haven`t been inspected yet all the best for when it takes place!!!
