I am having my old critall windows removed and replaced with uPVC. The windows are small about 1 metre wide and it appears that their are lintels on the 1st floor, and the ground floor windows have a soldier course of bricks above the windows, these metre wide uPVC windows when fitted will have one ...

thanks for the reply as far as i know the boards are nailed to joists on a suspended floor

I have a kitchen /diner the kitchen floor is screeded and the diner is floorboards the kitchen floor is higher by a few mm where it joins the timber floor what is the best way to raise the level of the diner floor?the floor when completed will be covered with sheet vinyl many thanks jp
