yes you should be ok with the metal connector i personaly use a flexible pipe connection
i would tile first then lay the wc on top

Most probably a air lock
do you have the original installation instructions at hand they may well tell you how to get rid of it
sometimes lowering the shower head into the bath/tray helps
try turning on taps in the bath room etc may move the water depending on how its been piped

hi guys quick question for roseberry,you mentioned a wee while ago that installing a hot water cylinder was a notifiable work,can you tell me were you found that to be as i have spoken to the wiaps people and they are not aware of it and as we some time install them for the company i work for i want...

can you tell us what make and type of pump?
is it actually supplying the bathroom and ensuit shower?,do you have a shower in the bathroom
is the bathroom nearest the pump?
if you can supply this info and anything else people may be able to diagnose the problem better

probarly the valves are siezed even thou the trv turns if its been off for a while

did this plumber come and survey the work required prior to installing the pump,if so the responsibilty lies with him to replace at his own cost

hi silicone tray,offer enclosure to the wall mark the screw points,assuming its being screwed,apply a bead of silicone on the enclosure uprights so that when its placed into postion there is silicone between tiles and uprights screw into place then as per instructions run the silicone up/down the up...
