I know what marrtin is saying, but is this not just your back up? If i was going to all the trouble of tilting forward i would plug the old fitting and fit a bottom entry boss and immersion.

15 months seems a bit long. I would investigate and if no fault in workmanship ( crossed thread, olive at tip of pipe ) i would charge. I would let them know about this in advance.

As the immersion is getting hot a hairline crack is being exposed to the water. you need to replace it.

you can bend the old one out and then fit a 11'' immersion in its place. get a slightly better quality immersion and it will last you a lot longer. pound on pound a better deal.

your getting boilers and cylinders mixed up. Boiler (white and on the wall) Cylinder (copper round thing). Check with the pump manufacture and they should be able to let you know. Its all to do with flow rates etc etc. Good luck

Im also in the heating trade and have to disagree with you. Vaillant, Worcester and Keston are the boilers i would put top of my list. Baxi and potterton are easy to work on and parts are ok. ideal can be tuff to change parts on. Alpha are not great and nether are Vokera. As years go by my preferenc...

This is a bad problem. You don't say what type of hot water system you have but it sounds like you have a hot water cylinder with a split coil. If you have 2 tanks in your loft one big and one small you may find that one of them will overflow as the higher one fills it. prob the big tank will be ove...

Ok, i think you might be alright. just go in to the loft and bleed directly from the pump. their is a big silver screw in the center ( grundfos, dab). or a big plastic nut (myson ) also i would expect that there are some other bleed points above the boiler in the loft. possably at both ends of the p...

if you done everything you said then it is the DHW heat exchanger. this is not very common but if it has happened before maybe its a fundamental flaw. good luck. Ollie
