If it’s under a year old, its still under guarantee and you should get the person who installed it to replace it.

The work should be free.

What kind of walls do you have?

Are they dry lined?

Is the noise coming from the bottom, middle or the top of the wall?

That small tank above your hot water cylinder is the feed and expansion tank for the heating system. I you have a close look at it, you will see there is a ball valve. If there no water in this tank and its not filling or filled, you need to turn on the water for it using the isolator that is on the...

They’re only one way to get it off, use a hammer and smash it.

You may have to replace the floorboards after like we do.

Its going to cast iron soil stack, so you will need to cut it back and get a flexible coupling for it so you can add some plastic pipe.

Use solder rings, not push fit.

I think the site has to removed or remind people that some posts on here are wrong and dangerous.

Some of them worry the hell out of me.

There a reason we have a long and hard testing process for gas and boilers, you get it wrong, you put you and your family in danger.

The vents are there for a reason. If you are not using the extractors in your home, you are heading for trouble. Your bathrooms will start to get mouldy without them and damp will be a problem. Turn them on and use them, it will save you money in the long run and you will soon get used to the sound....

It sounds like the pump. Is wired wrong or has a power failed.

You need to check the wiring and the fuse for the pump.

Or it could just be a bad pump, or its seized.

You need to call someone out for this.

It’s the boiler.

Your pressure expansion unit in the boiler has gone or is cracked.

It’s not the kind of work you can do yourself.

I normally don’t like posting on this board and this kind of post is the reason why. This is so wrong you wouldn’t be believed. Running radiators off water heating is illegal. Recycling water back into a water heater is illegal I could get into technical reasons why it’s a waste of time, but I...

It best if you use a mess, I think its zinc or something and you can get it at a good hardware shop. Then cover with exterior filler. It acts like reinforced concrete and the sods will not get thru it. Last time I had to do it was about 10 years ago and I spent a week looking for and filling holes w...

You better off drain it down.

You need to be careful with this radiator, it could be the by pass one for the heating system.

If it’s on all the time it properly is.

You can’t put trv on it and you need to leave the lock shields open.
