I don’t know the Worcester r28 very well, but I am sure you have a fault. The problem is that people hide pipe work these days and it’s hard to see were the leak is. I think it could be one of the solder joints, but it means having a good look at all of them. I am sure the problem is on the grou...

Power flushing on a new boiler less than 5 years old is unheard of. They should have done it before they fitted the new boiler 18 months ago. Has for replacing your current pipe work and radiators It’s not the parts it’s the labour. Good radiators start at about £100 each, then you will need tr...

I don’t know where to start with his. I hoped the days of diy gas work were over. Ok first your guarantee is worthless, you need a cert from the installer for the guarantee and insurant. You don’t have one. So your home contents and building insurants is now invalid. If the house burns down, I a...

I think it could be aluminium or stainless steal.

I have seen a few with copper too.

I am sure you don’t get a ringing sound from Asbestos; it’s more of a thud.

But you should contact your local council and ask them to have a look at it before you start work.

Builders always do the easiest thing for them. What I think you need is a good boiler, something like an Ariston or a Baxi gas boiler with a 5-year guarantee. 33kw seems a bit low for a 5-bedroom house, so I think a Worcester conventional green star 40 cdi would be your best bet. Pipes should be cop...

You’re dealing with a 40-year-old heating system. Steel pipe is a sod and will need cleaning out. The radiators are old and full of crap. Power flushing would only cause the pipes/radiators to leak. I don’t know how old your boiler is, but you should think about a complete renewal of your heatin...

It’s a dirty filter; probably jam up with lime scale.

Take it off and give it a good clean, it should be ok.

Remember to turn off the water first if you do.

It sounds like the filters are clogged.

The pump needs bleeding and the filters clean or replaced

It needs a good service.

They do make 8mm equal tee’s, but they do need to be order.

I think you need to look for another way to do this and there will be problems.

The main reason I can think of is 8mm is a pain to work with, and the flow rates are low.

I don’t see the point of “slowâ€

It sounds like the element in your hot water cylinder is going or gone.

Just get a plumber to fit a new one and give the cylinder a good clean out.
