Hi Nathen, First you must find out how the water got in. Was it due to the installer installing it incorrectly or is a manufacturer's fault. Either way you are not financially responsable for this fault. Get a different heating engineer in to look at the problem and see what he says. You may have to...

m This should be sufficent to run your flat. Just ask the company that quoted you the price and get them to break down the estimate. If you measure the size of the radiators and tell your local supplier they will tell you the btu size you would need the boiler to output. As for expense you would hav...

Hi Neil, if you look at your radiators there should be a drain off valve either on the lock shield or near them on the pipe work. If not a fella on here left some good advice about a self tapping drain off. I personally would not use them but the person who was left the advice said it worked a treat...

sounds like the blow off valve is passing. Go outside to where the back of the boiler is and see if there is a 15m copper pipe protruding from the wall. if you can see this is it wet? if so then my diagnosis is correct. If not you can buy some leak sealent and add it to your system and that will sea...

if your pipes are going down the wall from the boiler then the leak could be under the floor and that is why you have not seen any water. the leak sealer is a good recommendation as i use it on residential and commercial systems and i have not been called back for a leak or to replace a pump. that w...

there should be two 22millimetre pipes entering the cylinder about a 3rd of the way up and the other just above. If you follow them pipes to the highest point there should be a bleed valve situated at the top of the pipe.

hi if you goto the parts centre which is part of the plumb centre you can pick up a thermocoupling for that boiler. If you change this the boiler should stay on longer as the thermocoupling will allow the gas valve to open. it seems that everything starts to work but the thermocoupling will shut off...

you can pick an air pressure switch up for about £20 so it would be worth trying first. If not then there could be a blockage in your flue. What type of flue is it?

Hi Greengrass british gas does seem to charge a lot of money and the hidden extras that come afterwards(like if your gas pipe needs upgrading or they have to add ventilation) can hurt the pocket. The boiler will cost around a £1000-£1200 depending on your location and a good engineer would not cha...

another thought is bleed your radiators one at a time from the ground floor and lock each one off by the valves on both sides ( make sure boiler is off)then open both sides of the radiator that is cold and turn your boiler on. Keep bleeding until all air has been pumped out.
