Great minds think alike, I've done exactly as you have suggested except I've put thin metal plate on the wall in the bedroom. I've bolted the plate at the corners through the wall with another 2 bolts through for the sink to mount onto. A little unsightly but it only protrudes 1-2mm and I'll get the...

Fixing basin to strawboard wall??

Could anyone advise please? Having decided to relocate basin in bathroom, I have now just found that my walls are made of strawboard, apparently known in the trade as 'donkey's breakfast'!
