Yes. The membrane will allow moisture in the form of water vapour to escape from inside the building, avoiding a buildup of condensation. Kingspan explain it well on their website, google Kingspan breathable membrane for a full explanation.

I would leave it - you may actually create more problems by reducing airflow, which could potentially cause a build up of condensation.

Insulating Pipework in the house is always a good idea, as regardless of what service runs through it you are adding an additional layer of protection against accidental impact damage.

Hi Dave You could run the waste pipe clipped to the wall. Use ABS Solvent Weld Pipe and fittings so that it won't come apart if knocked. Make sure you use anti-syphon traps on the kitchen appliances to prevent the trap seal being drawn out by the long run. You don't say how far the pipe run is, but ...

Sounds like you have an airlock. Assuming there is no bleed valve on the pump, first thing to try is switch off the power to the pump, then run the showers (one at a time) normally without the pump for a couple of minutes. I would replace them with PVC, then you wont have maintenance issues in the future. You can actually get the Ogee pattern that your existing fascias have in PVC, so they will look very similar.
