Re: What are the Things to Keep in Mind While Designing your Interiors?

Hey, How would you select pro thermostats for your living area? Is it necessary to add thermostat in your home space? Why not? I would suggest adding a thermostat to your home area. There are a plenty of guides about selecting and installing thermostats. Just search "thermostat in home" i...

Based on experience, yes, they do have better build, and would not give out as soon as its cheaper counterparts.

Re: Smart Technology - Are you Getting any use From it?

I'm not completely sold to the idea of making everything smart, might be generational, but I believe there is still value in doing things manually when electronic devices are not without faults and could go awry no matter how efficient they should be. That said, I do not think I am a Luddite either,...

Re: Bath tap Dripping for Months and Need Help

Go to plumbers merchants (possibly several) and take the cartridge with you. Also take the part of the tap which attaches to the top of the cartridge with you. If plumbers merchants can’t give you an identical cartridge you will have to buy a new tap.

Any Advice on What new Miter saw to go for?

Hey everyone,

I have recently been looking at getting a new miter saw. I have done a bit of research so far I have been a fan of Milwaukee and Dewalt so far but wanted to see what others say are the best and what the pros and cons are.

Thank you,

Re: Why do I need to keep bleeding my radiators?

It may be a matter of how the system is circulated. Are there circulators? Or is the system a gravity feed? Are other radiators on the same loop or is this one all by itself? It may also be a matter of pressure however, I assume that the sunroom is on the main level and that the ones on the upper le...

Re: What are Your Frugal Gardening Tips?

I used my rocks to build a fountain and fish pond. Love the sound the running water makes, the birds and bees it attracts, makes it seem cooler. I'll post a picture. I even painted the rocks soft, natural colors so everything wasn't just grey in color, and the color has stayed for several years.

Re: Advice Needed on Cutting in a Ceiling

Take a metal cutting sawsall blade and cut it with aviation snips to thickness of the drywall, when making the cut do it at an angle like on the original blade.
You can cut away not having to worry about pipes or wires.

Re: Breathable Masonry Primer for Exterior Walls

We had a masonry retaining wall built around our patio and the finish isn't what we expected. We elected masonry over other materials because we thought it would complement the concrete foundation of our house better than brick or stone. The wall is made of 12" concrete filled block with a two ...

Re: Best Knee Pads to Wear for Tiling

Tile/carpet guys use the ProKnees, and I am told they are best for flat surfaces. Not so good for stair work. I picked up a set of Snap-On branded kneepads, and I like them. Lots of padding, but the kneepad is bulky which sucks on hot days. See below. I also like the plain old nylon/plastic ones wit...

Re: Soundproofing a Small Garage for Rehearsal Room

I do have a small room over the garage upstairs which I converted into my music room. I bought the 12 pack pyramyd sound proof wedges and strategically placed them on all 4 walls and the inside of the door. It works great even with play-along CD & 2 speakers cranked up. No need to cover every si...

Re: Newby Installing Infrared Heating Panels

I can’t comment on the panels but we recently have started fitting infrared underfloor heating in some of our projects. It comes in mat form like what you would fit in a bathroom, but instead of just heating the surface it heats the whole room at the same time,we’ve taken all the radiators out of som...
