Re: Bentley LVT - Any good?

Hi Manc, Did you ever buy this? We have been looking at the range too. I have seen some press releases about it saying it is as good as, if not, better than Amtico and Karndean. This article is good too https://storiesflooring.co.uk/blogs/stories/cheaper-alternative-to-amtico-flooring . I ordered so...

LVT Vs SPC for Bathroom and Bedroom

Hi guys, I currently have engineered wood in my bedroom and horrible lino in my en-suite. I want to re-do the floor throughout so it all matches. Obviously, I can't install engineered wood in the en-suit, so I am looking at LVT or SPC. I know SPC comes with a built-in underlay, but I'm just wonderin...

Re: Painting kitchen cabinet doors.

Fully recommend detaching them and spraying them. A nice even finish and really quick to do

Boundary Issue

Hi guys I'm wanting to attach a fence to the wall that divides my and my neighbour's back garden as it is a low wall and I want privacy for my family. Do you know the law? If she says no then can we still do it? I don't know who owns it in the deeds but she is saying that she is the owner. Let me kn...

Engineered or Solid Wood Flooring for Kitchen

Hi we have just completed the kitchen renovation apart from the floor. My girlfriend would love solid wood flooring but I have heard they don't do well in moisture prone areas. I saw this guide https://lifestyleflooringuk.co.uk/blog/post/engineered-wood-vs-solid-wood-flooring saying that engineered ...

Personally I would call an electrician forst Pal. Act dumb with the neighbour and then there's no fall out with them accusing you of suspecting them stealing volts from you.

Hi mate,

Look at the Fire Cement option. Render is all. It's hard to see without photos

Re: Vinyl Click Tiles in Kitchen

What is the original floor? If it's concrete then I would screed it. If it's floorboards then maybe cover the whole floor with a 20mm MDF.

Nest Doorbell Camera Gone Offline

Hi all,

I have recently bought a NEST doorbell camera. It's set up near my router however when someone comes to the door it takes a while (about 2 minutes) to alert me and this obviously can result in the person leaving by the time I get the alert.

Any advice on to make it instant?

Re: Exterior Wood Paint and Painting Wood Surrounds on a Garage

I have personally used Hammerite and can't recommend it enough. I painted my garage a racing green 6 years ago and it still looks fab.

Hope that helps

Jeeeeez, looks crazy. Do you know where the main feed for electrics enters your property? This could be a main route in that is also shared with your neighbour?

What is your electricity bill like?

Re: Crumbling Brick Behind Fireplace After Removing

Are you planning on having a live fire in there? I think if so you had best either render the bricks with a solid ratio of cement or install acros and rebrick.

Let me know about the live flame. Do you have photos?
