Stoneboy, thanks for the reply. It does seem the easiest way, and keeps the height to a minimum, cheers.

I previously just bedded it into the adhesive and simply laid tiles directly on with no issue, apart from it being awkward and messy ! Is this an ok...

What to look for in a builder.....

Just trying to decide on a builder.... Got a few options, but the one who has given the best price (IMHO) is also available the earliest !! which rings alarm bells. I have spoken to people who have used him and seen his work and can't fault him ! What questions should I be asking ? eg. have you Liab...

When is a window not a window ?

Just planning a new build, extension to kitchen and dining room. Instead of retaining the kitchen window we want to fit 2 sets of french windows and a few velux roof windows, but I'm told to comply with building regs we need a normal window ? Is this true ?

Wall mounted taps (crosswater mike style)

I'm planning to fit some wall mounted taps in a bathroom. After recieving them, they look a little different to how I imagined ! To allow them to be serviceable, I assume they need to be plumbed in a manner that they can be removed easily, with access only from the front. Any tips on how they should...

Shower pump circuit

Evening everyone... I wish to fit a shower pump to feed the shower/bath in my bathroom. The bathroom already has a cold feed direct from the cold storage tank in the loft, so thats good. Is there any reason I cannot simply plumb the hot side of the twin pump into the hot boiler output, allowing pump...
