I too have a combi. Shut off all rads at both ends, and drain the selected rad and reconnect as planned. If it is in a load bearing wall there should already be support for the wall above, as this should not bear on a door lining.

If it is the same lamp on a three pronged fitting, it sounds as if there is a loose connection at the lampholder, causing it to arc and overheat, hence the holes. If it is a metal fitting/switch it really should be earthed, but many years ago, lighting circuits were not earthed, and no reputable spa...

C/H systems are notoiously difficult to wire. You have so many different diagrams, and dont know which one to follow. I don't know either of your components, but would go with the Drayton diagram. Subsidence unlikely cause. If you have noticed water leaking somewhere this is the most likely cause, as tile cement is not waterproof.
Probably the water has penetrated the boxing material and loosened the tiles.
Remove loose tiles, fix leak, and go from there

tere is a plasterboard product with insulation.Ask in your local builders merchants.
I would doubt that asbestos would be associated will this system, but if you see anything suspicious proceed with caution

It's possible that there were 2 faults . 1 blown lamp, 2 faulty fiiting and that 1 masked 2.
Change the fitting as it sounds to me as if the lux sensor in the fitting is faulty.

If you are changing it, it should be 17th edidtion and fitted by a Part p registered sparks, or notified to BC.
