Electric shower or combi-based version

Hi

My daughter has just bought a flat. The bathroom requires some work including a choice between a shower based on water supplied by the combi central heating boiler or using an existing electric shower. Which option would you suggest for (a) economy or (b) effectiveness?

There are a number of schemes offering help with the purchase of boilers but most are aimed at either older people in receipt of benefits. However, you can get info at the Energy Saving Trust website Google "energysavingtrust.org.uk/"
