Which bit of the internal stopcock is leaking? you may be able to tighten the nut up, if its coming from the gland nut?

Sorry, taking one radiator off and hosing it out will not remove all the sludge from your heating sytem..... :(

It may be some scale from the cylinder has blocked the pipes? Is your kitchen tap a mixer or 2 seperate taps? If its a mixer, you can use the cold mains water to push back along the hot water pipes.....
