Re: Does This Quote for a 5 x 3 Conservatory Seem a Fair Price?

You should always get 3 quotes for larger jobs, so you can compare and understand what you are being charged for. It is almost impossible for someone to check a quote without being given the chance to come and see the work you need doing (and getting the full brief that you have given to the builder...

Reptiles are an area where we have very little experience! Here's a few ideas: StoreFloor is an idea for a relatively cheap loft floor. Finally for your question on roof trusses you can see this project: ...

Re: Is Ready Mix Cement ok to Use for Wall Capping Repair?

Any ready mix would do the job. Try Jetcem: m Tip Tip: You should coat the top of the wall and the underside of the copping stone with SBR (approx 2:1, SBR to Water) and leave this for 1/2 an hour before cementing. This stops the moisture being sucked out of the cement so quickly and makes a much be...

What's the surface that it is moving across? If it soft, like carpet, it's going to be hard to move.

Perhaps you could find a strapping, friendly neighbour that could help with the spring cleaning in exchange for a home cooked meal?!

Re: New Shed Base Layed Over Area that is Currently Brick Weave?

So long as the brick weave patio/path is solid then you can us that. If you want to spread the weight you could use slabs, but they will crack if the bricks move underneath - they have to be solid.

Re: What material to use for summerhouse replacement roof?

It sounds as through the sagging has been caused by moisture getting to the chipboard, but if it has been covered with felt properly we would expect this not to happen after only 3 years.
