It will be the same as a standard UK installation.

You may need some pumps depending on how far the outlets are from the tank, I'd probably recommend that anyway. You should use 22mm copper pipe throughout the hot water system anyway.

When you say it switches the bath tap on does it come on at full power or just dribble? Could just be air pushing the water through the system, but this should be looked at by whoever fitted the central heating.

I wouldn't do it personally. The soil stack will be at the back of the house so you would have to have waste plumbing from the front to the back of the house. You could always have a macerator installed but to be honest I'd look at a house with an upstairs bathroom! Will be alot cheaper in the longr...

It's normal for the dimmer switch to be buzzing but not the on the MCB.

I wouldn't use a dimmer on low energy lighting. Fit a normal switch and see if the buzzing stops.
