Hi Yes that well could be it, try turning it down as low as it will go, and see if this stops the boiler coming on/off as often.

leaking boiler - advice please

Hi You do not say if you can see where it is leaking from? or do you not know, if you do not then it may well be the pressure vessel that will need changed, as when you refill the system and the boiler comes on the pressure has no where to go ( if vessel faulty) so blows the extra pressure out throu...

Help!! Hep20 or copper whats the best

Hi I would recomend 10mm plastic coated copper to each radiator, using 22mm from boiler to a manifold ( 22mm to 4 x 10mm outlets), I would also still use insulation on all the pipes, (keep heat in till it gets to where its needed ie Radiator) Hep2 is good in 'hard to' areas for copper but copper is ...

frost thermostats

Hi The frost stat is there to protect the boiler, if the temp goes below a set temp about 5-7 degrees it will switch the boiler on so that it will protect it from frost damage. If it is not in the way I would leave it.
Hope this helps.

Draining a radiator

Yes you have a faulty valve, you will need to change it, either drain down the system, (safest way) flush out several times , change valve, please do not forget to put inhibitor back in.
Hope this helps.

Hi I think you should look at the pump, I suspect either a jammed/faulty pump or the pump is air locked, try removing the large screw on front , if air comes out while you are undoing the screw, refit when water comes out and try again. if not take screw all way out, watch out as water will come out...

Central Heating Equipment

Hi, Answers to your questions, 1) In my opinion NO 2) a) Would depend on size of floor area and size of radiators, but I would suggest a 28kw unit should be OK b) a 210-250L would be ok for two bathrooms. p.s. Can cruddy/sludgy radiators be cleaned by eddy-current unit

Hi, sounds like you may be better to have the system powerflushed, get a price for this then look at the cost of replacing ALL the system, ie radiators, pipes, boiler ect.
Hope this helps. :)
