hia just to clarify are you putting 2 8,5kw showers on the same mcb? if you did that the combined load would be clse to 74 amps so that is a big no no, you can put them on seperate breakers but you have to consider the total load in the rest of the property, as if you only had a 60amp main head fuse...

hi in this instance its rewire time, it would be unsafe to connect up new light fittings without an earth, which also makes me think what is the current earthing arrangements within your property are the gas and water pipes bonded and is the main cu earth the correct size and is it a rewireable boar...

what is the kw rating of the appliances
what is the consumer unit in place ie rewireable or not
Normal way would be the relevent sized cable into an isolator correctly rated and then to the oven
let us know the info requested and can tell u what is required

hi

Sounds like you have wired the switch cable incorrectly in the ceiling rose/ or fittings, also why is the lighting on the rcd side of the board?

just something to think about, regs do not allow junction boxes unless they are readily accesible, under a floor board doesn't count as accesible.

ok just to clarify, did you say it was a new kitchen install if so what cable has been installed and what is the kw rating of the cooker, yes you are correct about the earth leakage but i would be interested to see if the cooker has the right cable installed

yes you are correct you sleeve the earth and put it an a connector block, it doesn't have any impact on test results.

dont mean to be picky but the calculation for 12kw without cable length or diversity is 52 amps.
7.5kw is pretty much the most you could put on a 32amp breaker
