The other thing i should have added is there is a filter built into the Megaflow combination valve that may need cleaning
That will also give you poor flow rates if its blocked
Because the plumber had to drain the tank down to change the immersion when the tank was then refilled it would have regenerated the air pocket at the top of your Megaflow ,this air pocket takes up the expansion in the water as it heats up Because that air pocket gets compressed by the hot water whe...
How can you plan for a job when you have not looked at it , you will have to look at the job to see what parts and tools you might need .
At least you know you have the work so it wont be a wasted trip :D
The "NF" logo is something to do with French Regs you will find it on all sorts of things from Towel rails to electrical goods i think its something like our kite mark . There are better quality valves out there but to change over will mean taking the cistern off to get to the back nut bes...
There are so many of these push button valves now its hard to visualize which one you have ,as a guide the hole in the side with the adjustable opening will vary the amount of water in the flush keep it closed for full flush. Once the height is set to match the cistern you may then have to fiddle wi...
Start with your mains stopcocks make sure the one in the street outside your house is fully on and the one inside ,they may be on but not fully open .
You could also check with your neighbors to see what there pressure and flow rates are like .
If you can get the cartridge out and then turn the supplies back on again with it out, at least your be able to tell if there is an obstruction in the pipe work.
It is a water bylaw that one tap be left un-softened if poss that should be the kitchen if not something near by . The softened water will contain very small amounts of sodium so anyone on a low sodium diet or babies should not drink it . If your going to have problem getting un-softened water to a ...
If you have a Combi already its very likely that you already have 1 bar or more ,i doubt it would operate on anything less. The 1.9 bar i assume your referring to is what the needle on the gauge is showing on the front of your boiler this gauge shows the water pressure in your heating system ,which ...
If its not that new then maybe its worth replacing or you could get a new cartridge to pop in it from Bristan.
Also check the emersion temp is not set to high ,if the water going into the shower valve is to hot that could also cause it to shut down.
What about the flow restrictors which come with the Bristan showers and slip into the elbows are they needed ?
I also find on most of there showers you have to fiddle around with the shower valve to set your hot water max temp .
