It would be almost impossible to cut the tiles. What if it put up wood batten against the tiles first then put the coving onto that. Would an adhesive "gripfill etc" work in a bathroom enviroment?

Bathroom coving

I want to put coving up in the bathroom. The walls are tiled right up to the celing. Will coving adhesive work to the flat ceramic tiles? :?

Quarry Tile

Have laid quarry tiles in hall way, very clean job very little adhesive on the top or side of the tiles.
My question is. Do i grout first then use a cement & lime film remover then seal with impregnator or seal, grout then use cement & lime film remover? :?

Kitchen splashback

Want to provide a tile splash back behind the electric hob. How can i get a clean finish between tiles and oak worktop. Done one before in our old house but noticed the grouting started to go a dirty grey. Think it was from the oil in the worktop seeping into the white grout.

English Oak Doors

Just had two English oak doors made and am unsure how to finish them off. Been told two coats of Polyx oil (matt) by one carpenter then another says to use two coats of Rustins Danish oil. Whats the best option. Just want to darken the oak slightly.

Caulking Coving

Hi think i have made a big mistake. I used Everbuild Hibriflex 480 to do the caulking thinking it was ok to emulsion afterwards. I have now read the instructions again and it says it can be painted over, nothing saying it can be emulsioned over. (what a plonker) Can i first undercoat (water based) t...

Stairwell cold spots

Recently had my stairwell re-plastered and have a strange occurrence. When the air is damp, dark patches appear on the wall around 6ft up so i dont think its rising damp. Neighbour say its most likely something called "cold spots ". What are they? Can i emulsion over them? :(

Painting exterior house wall

Have had the back wall of the house re-rendered (hacked off the old render and had two coats of render applied with waterproofer added) so now need to paint it. Have bought Sandtex ultra smooth which says apply two coats. Do i need to seal the new render with a stabilising solution first?

Coving problem

Hi have a big big problem putting up new coving. It all started with the room being plastered (celing and walls). Ordered coving and adhesive from builders merchants. Coving came but no adhesive they said i could use Mapestik tile adhesive instead. Put coving up with tile adhesive but did notice pla...
