Drain smell

Depends on if you need to use it again. But assuming you don't, get a straight connector with a rodding eys, if you need to use it again you can just remove the rodding eye. Quick solution is to put a rubber glove over the end.

The length of the supply pipe is to long for the pressure to drop enough for the pump to start. You need a negative head pump.

Tiling on floor

Did you use flexible two part good quality adhesive. Did you make sure floor material was fixed and no movement on floor sub structure and did you put down 12mm min WPB ply board. If you did these things you probably would not have a crack!!!

Purchase a coffin tank or circular one, the circular one can be rolled up onto itself and persuaded to go through a small hole. Not a big job but pipe sizes can be a problem, metric to imperial.

Cold cistern

Round plastic cisterns can be rolled up and can be persuaded to go through a very small hole. You could buy a coffin tank, they come in different sizes so could go through. As for difficulty it depends on your experience, iys seems a bigger job than it is but you need to be aware of imperial sizes a...
