I'm no oil expert; nor have I ever had the pleasure of a Camray - I would check your water flow switch to make sure it hasn't got stuck in the "on" position.

You need to research the boiler... Most appliances will have a switch live requirement... Thus.... Controls tell the valves when to open and close; the valves are fitted with microswitches which then provide a 240v signal back to the boiler to turn that on/off. Here in the UK; pool boilers are a com...

It's the valve passing.... The actuator would keep the valve in water-only mode as this is the "rest" position.... As such; the actuator is fine; it's the valve itself - Probably got some sludge or debris on it stopping it from closing the c/heating side of your system off properly. New 3 ...

Read up on "powerflushing"....

With microbore you'll need to work a bit harder to get it to flush properly as the pipes create a much higher resistance and of course, trap more sludge and debris as it travels around the system.

Yes; you need to turn the boiler off.... Remember; we use the boiler to heat the water that heats us.... As far as the boiler is concerned; that water is there to keep it cold; without water and with the boiler on you will inevitably overheat the appliance and possibly burn the pump out if you was p...

If the old boiler is in the outhouse I would suggest that all the pipes are there ready for the engineer to connect onto and that it would be an easier job overall to keep it where it is.... What reason has the engineer given for it not going in the outhouse; most modern boilers have "anti-free...

The idea of powerflushing is that you can use chemicals to degrade the sludge buildup; as the chemicals work; sediment is removed.

Best advice; get someone in; or do some research and hire a powerflush machine.... Be warned - It can get messy if done wrong.

Sounds like your motorised valve....

It's a DIY job if you are competant at electrics (5 wires), plumbing (Draining & filling a system) and the valve is reasonably accessible.

You're not really making sense....

The "emergency hot water" switch you refer to is the immersion heater - Which would suggest that it is working fine.... How else do you heat the water? Central heating boiler perhaps? Is this working properly?

You're probably on a gravity system and the cylinder may have air locked.... Carefully crack the top joint on the side of the cylinder to see if any air comes out.

Thanks for the photo's Phil66.... I can confirm that the flue itself is fine by the looks of it and that the dripping is rain water from the weathering plate.

Get your installer/supplier to check the weathering plate and replace where neccessary.

Hi; the GreenStar 15Ri has to be a minimum of 300mm from an adjacent boundary or 600mm if facing the boundary.

In all cases, the regs state that care should always be given to the pluming effect of a condensing appliance and where needed, a plume management kit should be fitted.

Unfortunately you cannot simply run at half gas, the gas pipework in your property will need to be sized (where possible) to find out exactly what rate of gas it can provide... And that it can meet the maximum demand for the appliance. Some common solutions I have employed that can be run on 15mm ar...
