Re: Restoring a Massaranduba Deck That has Become Grey - Advice Needed

There is some good advice and a helpful video one this page that should see you right: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/tr ... ecking.htm

You just need a fungicidal wash to clean it. This is the one that we use: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/DIY-superst ... litre.html

I hope that helps.

Re: Table Varnish for Restaurant - Any Quick Drying Solutions?

Hi Rolled Gold,
If you can live without a table for a day or two, then why not do one at a time? You could slowly work your way through until they are all done - it should onlt take you a month or so?

Re: Making Floor Tiles Antislip - What can I add to the Backing?

Hi Jack,
You could try this stuff (but please don't blame me if it doesn't work):

It is tacky so it will cling to most surfaces but not irreversibly.

Re: Condensation on Ceiling and Windows - Will Installing Window Vents Help?

Hi Chris, You are right to try and get to the cause rather than simply treating the symptoms. Has your exterior walls been treated with cavity wall insulation? Getting this done might be a possible cure. Increasing the ventilation will certainly help if this is possible. You will be able to find a l...

Re: Double Glazing new Severe Condensation Spread to Every Room in the House

Hi Capable Amateur, This is a tricky one. As you probably know, condensation occurs when warm, moist air is cooled quickly and no longer can 'hold' the moisture. This typically happens when the warm air hits a cold window or wall, and the water vapour in the air condenses on to the cooler surface. W...

Re: Pebble Dashing on Stone Walls - Is it Best to Leave or Remove?

Hi Dougmca, Your question is not totally clear (to me at least!), so I will do my best to answer it. If you want to remove the pebble dash, I am quite sure that your home will be fine - after all, it had 60 or so years like this before it was pebble dashed. It has had nearly another 60 years with th...

Re: Replace Top Oven Seal in Parkinson Cowan to Prevent Heat Escape

Hi Etaf,
I would recommend calling the company that sold you the seal as they should be able to assist you, and if that can't should be able to point you in the direction of someone that can.

Hi alwaystrouble, I am sure that you will have resolved the cause of your sleepless nights by now, but if not I would suggest that your recommended builder should be able to talk to you about all these issues. Hi Andrew, I think that we have just the product - it's a water based cleaner called Grime Go: m It should remove all the grime and grease with causing any damage.
