Re: Painting Moulded Doors with Paint or Varnish

Thanks!

I've been recommended a few different polyurethane varnishes. Is there any preference to manufacturers e.g. Rustins, Blackfriars and the usual ones like Ronseal etc?

Painting Moulded Doors with Paint or Varnish

Hi

I like the colour of the original moulded doors I've bought. However we need to paint it to protect it from wearing.. What should we paint the door with e,g, can you paint clear varnish on moulded doors?

Hairline Cracks have Appeared in Newly Skimmed Wall - How to Fill These

Hi

I have several hairline cracks on my newly skimmed (3 months old) walls and ceilings. What's the BEST way to seal them filler or caulk? Should I make the crack wider with a knife so the substance moulds in well????

Please advise and ASAP! Thanks in advance.

Regards, Raul

Has Anyone Used Radiator Reflectors Before and What do They Think?

Hi Has anyone used reflectors on radiators (NOT foil)? I would like to conserve some heat and read up on this. My radiators are already on so I'd like a simple DIY job to cut around and put the reflectors behind, sitting on the brackets??? Suggestions/recommendations would be most appreciated please...

Re: What is the Difference on Tubular Latch and Tubular Mortice Latchs

Thanks. The 1 I bought (Eurospec) comes with 10 years Manufacturer Guarantee...

The reviews/comments left on the website can be misleading as most, if not all are reviewed straight after purchase/fitting them on so it's not a true reflection on how reliable they actually are!

Hi Purchased a couple of knotty pine doors from B&Q. I know it's not the best of wood but it sure looks great! How can I protect it as there are some reviews which are concerning? Also, there are 2 knots which lets some light through. What should I do with those? I'm yet to varnish... Btw once y...

What is the Difference on Tubular Latch and Tubular Mortice Latchs

Hi,
What's the difference on Tubular n Tubular Mortice latches? Screwfix sell some for 97pence n others for £3.45 etc... How do I decide which ones I need for my internal standard doors (non fire doors n standard size). I'm using the latches on a backplate handle...???
