You could probably manage to tee off hot and cold ok-you could also probably manage to chase out walls-I reckon the main problem you may have is getting your hot and cold pipes to exit at exact spacing,normally,150mm and also horizontal to thewall and in addition level with each other.This can be a ...

I would go ahead and fit a thermostatic mixer.The majority of these mixers are compatable with combi boilers and, therefore,can cope with large differences between hot and cold inlet pressures, sometimes as much as a factor of ten.Just ensure of its compatability before purchase.

As there is no electrical path through a plastic pushfit fitting,even with copper either side, you will have to bridge the fitting with earth clamps.

look in your tank first thing in the morning before anyone uses hot water.Is the level higher than normal? Is the overflow pipe dripping?If the answer to either of these questions is yes then look at the ball valve.[Condensation is an unlikely cause.]

is your shower mixer compatable with a combi boiler?If your boiler was connected to an old mixer unit where there was no compensation for large variation between hot and cold inlet pressures then you wont get steady temp at the outlet.If this is the case you could try two things-fit a new mixer valv...

baby died recently due to v.similar scenario i.e.exp.tank filling with hotter andhotter water until tank failed and flooded room below with boiling water-cause?-faulty thermostat-TURN OFF WHOLE SYSTEM NOW-ring for plumber
