Hi there,

How much adhesive are we talking about.

If only small you could just try leaving either a wet sponge or flannel on top of the adhesive and it should eventually soften up enough to get off.

Tip for future ref : wipe of adhesive while still wet.

Kooky,

Doesnt really matter which end your taps are.

More importantly what kind of water system do you have.

Combi, open vented cylinder, unvented cylinder.

This would affect what kind of shower you have.

Hi there,

Yes there is. Identify the cold supply to the cylinder from the CWSC and stick a bung in it to create airlock.

Kev, Yes just blank off the vent pipe. If you fit any kind of isolator to feed you shoudl really remove once you have finished so as cannot be accidentaly turned off. Although in practice most are left in place anyway. I would use a FULL BORE ball-o-fix valve rather than gate valve. Something that c...

Hi there,

If your toilet cistern is filled from the Cold Water Cistern in the loft then you will have low pressure so NO restrictor.

If it is filled off the mains the high pressure so restrictor IS needed.

Hi there,

Your house has concrete floors upstairs???? how old is it.

Yes you could drill through the floors but would be a pain in the a@@

Do you have to have them in the garage, can you not put them outside the kitchen then you could just take the feeds from the kitchen taps.

Kev, Have you been on the Kamco training course. If not I suggest you do. Its a free 1 day course at the hq in St Albans. It really does make sense before doing this yourself. If you dont even know what you need to do with the f&e tank then I suggest you dont tackle this yourself at the moment. ...

Yes,

You can either use rubber bungs, depending on shape of cold feed outlet or, use pushfit stop end on expansion pipe, hold finger over cold outlet, cut pipe and blank both ends, then reconnect after with either pushfit connector or compression fitting.

Hi Dave,

Its a problem with the floatvalve. The pin in the valve will be vibrationg and sending it back down the pipes.

Could just change the washer inside but is easier just to change the whole thing.

Hi there,

You can't just but the disks you have to but the whole internal cartridge.

Take you existing one to local plumbers merchant and they should be able to match a replacement.

Hope this helps
