tile travertine over Kardean?

Hi, Is it possible to tile travertine tiles on top of Karndean flooring.
The flooring is very firmly fixed over ashphalt floor.
If I score the flooring would this be enough and what adhesive would work best (if any)? Cheers.

Hi Rob, I came across this exact same problem last week, and here's what sorted it for me: shut both valves, take rad off, open both valves in turn to find which side is blocked, trace this pipe back to joint that tees off to another radiator ( I had to remove some skirting board and boxing in). cable in conservatory cavity?

HI, I've almost completed erecting a conservatory and am unsure as to whether it is safe to run the cable to plug points through the cavity wall or should this be done under the plasterboard which i plan to dot/dab.
Any advice would be appreciated . Thanx.

if you've recently had a dodgy mixer shower installed high pressure cold water can be forced through hot side, back into cylinder and back to tank. If isolating shower stops overflow, fit a check valve on hot supply.

yes, tap will run for a while until water level in cylinder = tap level. Shutting off gate valve on cylinder feed from cold cistern will speed this up, or better still service valve near tap if you have one.

in an emergency you will have a fresh store of cold water and the height of the tank allows for pressurised water to the hot water taps

try adjusting the ball valve in the larger of the cisterns in the loft so that it cuts off the supply at a lower level in the cistern. If this dont work then ball valve diaphragm may need replacing.

try shocking the nut by simultaneously hitting it on either side with 2 hammers to break the seal and use a long wrench if poss. instead of a cheap and shorter immersion spanner.
