is this a new installation or is it old and you have only just had the problem?

if old then it sounds like your durgo is stuck shut, probably need a new one

no, draining your CWSC will not affect your heating system, it is more likely your motorised valve has failed

Re: Durgo smell

My new downstairs shower room/toilet builds up a drain smell overnight or if left unused for some time. The flow to the main drain was just about the minimum the inspector would allow but it all seems to flush ok. The shower and the sink are also tapped into the vertical pipe that was left cut off ...

i would say you are right and there is dirt in your water pipe, unless you have caught the pipe somewhere else and not noticed

if it is dirt then its also probably made its way past your stopcock and to your taps, valves

Presumably MDPE pipe is correct for this applic...

You have a gravity fed system which are low pressure systems. your taps will have good pressure because theyve probably got aroud 3m of head now your cwsc has been lifted. But your shower is higher than your taps reducing the amount of pressure recieved. head = the distance from your cwsc in loft to...

We would like to replace this shower. We have been advised today to replace like for like, however, we have read...

be sure to buy a thermostatic mixer, as most combis are efficent at suppling hot water to one outlet.

which makes manual mixers unstable e.g. your having a shower and someone decides to do the dishes ur goin get scolded

if u dont put shed on a gud base it wont be long before it starts leaning over. a gud option which isnt to costly is to dig off turf, put down some whackered type 1 MOT, and lay some flags on a sand cement bed. if your not any good at groundwork i suggest gettin someone do it for you. when i do thes...
