Jeez, I could have saved, not spent money, by buying in a lackie! That was so funny I've just sprayed red wine through my nose and all over my lappy! The RCD cost 20 quid and the pull switch 14 - even if I have bought 'em in error, I've saved myself about 500 quid! And my error is to err on the side...

I know about the need for a leckie - I just asked for a bit of advice.

If everyone answers like you have the forum will cease to exist. Can't you provide some practical advice and leave me to make the judgement call?

Should I change my plastic 25 gallon tank?

I want to fit a power shower but the manual recommends 230 litres - my calculations make 25 galls equal to 113 litres. How long will that last?
Should I fit a second tank?

I'm installing a mira thermostatic power shower. This needs a supply only for the internal pump. It does not heat water. I have fitted a FCU with built in RCD, in the airing cupboard, taking its supply from the socket circuit. I have used 1mm twin core and earth. From the FCU the cable goes to a 40 ...

So I can power it from a socket circuit connected to an rcb - and ive just run 10mm cable channelled into the wall from the shower to the consumer unit!

What a waste of time and money...
