discontinued tile size

I need to remove two tiles from my bathroom to do some pipework. I am hoping to get the tiles out in one piece. These tiles are discontinued. We got them from Wickes a number of years ago. The size is 350 x 230mm. They are gloss white with a slight dimple. the backing is terracotta. Only got a few s...

Gloss paint advice needed.

I would like advice on application of oil based gloss paint. I bought some 4" foam rollers but the finish is orange peelish. Is there any denser foam rollers that I can buy? I seem to recall using foam rollers which were much more smooth and less spongy . I can't find them anymore. The one I bo...

Expansion Tank for Central Heating Boiler

I have just bought an Expansion Tank from Toolstation.
It says that it is pressurised to 1.5 bar. The one in my Bosch System says it is .75 bar.
Should I reset the new tank to .75 or will it be okay to fit the Tank as it came 1.5 bar?

Sealing between shower/bath and tiles

Just fitted a shower/bath. I want a very neat way to seal between the bath and the tiles. The tiles are already on the wall, so nothing can be tucked behind them. I don't want to use silicone alone as it gets black in time and is a pain to remove and re silicone with a good finish. Just bought some ...

Bespoke Bath Panel

I want to make my own bath panel. I was thinking of maybe tiling it. I would need to use a backing that is waterproof.

Any suggestions would be helpful (please).

Repairs to the Felt and the Roof of Loft Area

I have seen that the felt underneath the slates in my loft is deteriorating forming some large holes in places. Rain is not coming in. I read something that said that this loft felting stuff is to stop vapour and dirt, but not water. Is this the case? If so, would I be able to get some more of this ...

Problems in my Loft Where Felt has Broken

The felt under the roofing tiles is breaking up. Lots of holes have developed. I do not want to go to the expense of having the whole roof replaced. I am looking to find a cheaper more DIY solution. There is no ingress of water, just dirt blowing in. I was thinking of fixing polystyrene boarding bet...

Repairing water mark on table.

I have bought an old coffee table which needed some work doing to it. The varnish on the top was flaky so I sanded it back to the veneered finish. I think it is MDF underneath. I discovered a risen circle which looks like a watermark. I have snded it as much as I datre, without going through the ven...
