damp course or not

I have to remove all vinal tiles from the floor, the concrete underneath looks and feel dry and is quite smooth the question is do i need some sort of damp course laid. I intend to lay parquet wood blocks to the floor, i suspect the whole ground area of the house has a damp course already in place. ...

sounds like a ventalition problem to me the clothes dont help on the rad
the long curtains restrict the flow of air behind them.

I be suprised if you have supporting walls on the floorboards, i suspect they are devideing walls, but i know what you mean,
i be more inclined to hire a industrail sander one of them will take out the uneveness, i dont think its a good idear to fit new t-g over old t-g.

I have a lot of old parquet flooring blocks the base is covered with bitumen which was used to lay them in the first place, quite a lot have some concrete / cement stuck to the butumen and the bitumen is quite thick, what i do is use a blow lamp the type a plummer may use, this melts the bitumen ver...

I would try to take some old blocks from under a wall unit or from around the edge and then replace those with new blocks that way you will split them up so they wont show up so much

I have a lot of old pine parquet flooring i am in the process of cleaning off the old bitchum, useing a blow lamp very effective and quick i can tell you
which adhesive will i need to stick them down on to vinal tiles,
you dont get it all off but 90% of it.

yes sand blasting will be the answer with care you should miss the pointing and blast the bricks.
