The walls will more than likely need sanded first to get rid of the paste. It would have been ok to size the walls with paste if you were papering. Should be sealed with 70%water to emulsion.

As above allow to dry completly and naturally as multi finish has dryers in it. It will crack otherwise. Once dry Prime with 70%water to emulsion or use BNQ own brand cheap stuff with a little water. Allow to dry then then size the wall ready for paper. Reason for painting is its easier to strip in ...

Try big industrial wipes, most merchants sell them. or even bnq.

Never heard of thin emulsion blistering. What filler did you use. Was it over wallpaper, lining paper. Filler must be completely dry before sanding and painting and dust free.

Personally i would use dulux paint but i have never experienced any bad smells from crown paints. I would say that paint can go off after being left for some time.

Your roller is the problem. If its easier for you to use to prevent runners then once you have applied the gloss use a brush to (lay off) the paint. T-cut will do nothing apart from make a mess. Its not commercial car paint you have.
